5 Chefs Talk About Business Success and Making a Profit
We’re excited to share five short videos, where chefs who are also business owners talk about their journey from being in the kitchen to running their own successful restaurants and cafes. They’ve experienced it all – from cooking great food to managing staff, paying the bills, doing the marketing, dealing with government regulations and ultimately making a profit. It was International Chef’s Day on October 20th, and at the recent Foodie Coaches Melbourne Retreat, we grabbed a few minutes of their time to quiz them on chefs and business success.
We asked two key questions: what special skills and advantages do chefs bring to business ownership? And what do chefs need to learn to move from success in the kitchen to being profitable as a business owner? In each video, you’ll hear them talk about the ups and downs, how they manage their teams, keep up with business, and still find time to be creative.
If you love cooking and dream of opening a restaurant or enjoy a good behind-the-scenes look at how a restaurant works, there’s inspiration for you here. And if you’re a chef running your own business, their insights might help you get your time back and improve the bottom line…
